The most famous personality of history who tried to conquer the whole world was Alexander III , people used to call him 'Alexander the Great'. He was king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon. His dream of conquering the whole world was largely manifesting into reality. As he was conquering more and more kingdoms and acquiring more wealth and physical pleasures, he started seeking immortality.

After acquiring so much in life, he started desiring to become immortal so that he can enjoy his wealth and power forever . Once he heard from someone that Indian sages have the power to become immortal.
In his conquest to win more and more kingdoms, he turned towards India. Once he and his army was crossing a forest, nearby he saw a monk walking, he asked his soldiers to stop the sage.

He got down of his horse and went near the sage alone to ask his question in private. He asked him in his dominating tone " I have heard that Indian sages knows the secret of becoming immortal, do you know what is the secret of becoming immortal. The sage looked at his foolishness about life, he wanted to say something else to him, but be could not because he was carrying a sword in his hand. So he replied "Yes i know it, there is a cave few miles away from here, inside that cave there is a pond and a person who drinks water from that pond becomes immortal. Alexander was pleased and he went to the cave leaving his soldiers behind because he wanted become immortal alone.

He went inside the cave and walked further deep inside it. He reached the other side of the cave and found a pond as the sage had described. He sat down and was just starting to drink water from the pond. There was a parrot sitting on a tree near that pond. The parrot said "wait!", 2000 years ago i drank water from this pond and after living for so many years i am feeling my life burdensome, now i cannot even commit suicide.

So the moral of the story is, only fools seek immortality the wise ones always joyfully lives a full life and blissfully accept their journey from one dimension of life to another.
